Some fan moments are endearing, while some are downright awkward. This is exactly what happened with The Boys’ stars Colby Minifie and Aya Cash. Minifie spoke about this awkward yet hilarious moment, and here’s what she had to say!
The Boys’ star Colby Minifie addresses an awkward fan experience
In an interview with Discussing Film, Colby Minifie was asked if she could share any bizarre fan interactions and experiences, to which she said, “I spend a lot of time with Aya Cash cause we both live in New York. She looks very, very different in person.”
“If we do get recognized, most of the time it’s people coming up to me being like, ‘Oh my gosh, it’s Ashley,’ and then they’ll ask Aya to take a picture, and they don’t realize that they have asked Stormfront, Iconic Stormfront, to take the picture with me. I don’t ever know if she wants to take a pic. She finds it hilarious.” She added.
It’s not just Aya Cash who finds the whole incident funny, apparently; it’s also the netizens who found it odd that people wouldn’t recognize the actress as Stormfront in public.
Minifie also stated that she loves fan interactions mainly because she comes from a theater background. This is valid because, unlike TV shows’ ending, theater allows the audience to engage and interact with the actors, and it bridges the gap in doing so, and it does make sense.
Aya Cash and Colby Minifie both star in The Boys as Stormfront and Ashley. They play rivals in the show, but in real life, they’re both good friends.
This is yet another awkward but hilarious moment from The Boys’ cast. Where Antony Starr is offered milk in public, Minifie also had her fair share of fan experiences.
One such case is where fans walked up to her in public and said, “Ashley, look at ME!” This is one of the most iconic dialogues that blew up on both Instagram and TikTok. What followed was people making memes and vines on the internet.
It does go to show that while some fan encounters are sweet, endearing, crazy, and wild, some can be downright hilarious as well!
The Boys Season 5 is available for streaming on Amazon Prime.
