Health struggles and battles are no joke, especially when it entails life-threatening risks. Such is the case with Dave Coulier, who has been fighting it out with the cancer, and the actor-comedian recently shared his latest major health update.
Dave Coulier shares major health update
Full House star Dave Coulier recently spoke to Page Six about the update following his cancer treatment, saying, “I haven’t been able to eat solid food in months, and so I’ve lost 45 pounds. That’s what you’re seeing, and it’s affected my ability to speak,” Some of you said that I sound different. So yeah, you’re right on with what you are seeing and what you’re hearing.”
Back in 2024, Coulier was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin Lymphoma. He was in stage -3 and it heavily affects the lymph nodes in the neck and even the throat, for that matter.
If that wasn’t enough, the artist was diagnosed with squamous carcinoma in 2025, and it was located at the base of his tongue. He hasn’t updated the status of the condition as of yet.
As for his non-Hodgkin Lymphoma, it seems to have improved, as the comedian stated in the interview. It greatly affected his ability to speak and communicate.
It isn’t surprising since chemotherapy wears an individual out physically, emotionally, and most importantly, mentally. Cancer of any kind can either make or break an individual, though Coulier remained headstrong throughout the process.
His wife, Melissa Bring, helped him out throughout his painful journey as he opened up to Parade in an interview.
“Seeing my wife exhausted on those days when I’m like, ‘Can you get me some water?’ and ‘I haven’t taken my pills yet’… She’s been running ragged helping me. That’s the picture that will stay with me—how this affects your family members. “People who go through this know exactly what I’m talking about.”
As of yet, the Full House star is cancer-free, as he shared the news in February on his Instagram. His journey most certainly was not easy, but that’s not it. He is all set to make his comeback with Doctor Dave, which is currently in its pre-production stages.
