Zoë Kravitz and Harry Styles are now engaged, as per media reports. They reportedly started dating in August 2025. Now, Kravitz’s ex, Channing Tatum, has shared a cryptic post on Instagram right around the same time the news of the engagement broke.
Tatum shares John Roedel poem amidst engagement news of former girlfriend
Channing Tatum shared a reflective poem on Instagram Stories on April 27, 2026. He posted a poem written by poet John Roedel, emphasizing trusting gut instinct while going through an internal dilemma. It goes as follows:
“My brain and heart divorced / a decade ago / about who was to blame, about how big of a mess I have become / Eventually, they couldn’t be in the same room together. Now my head and heart share custody of me…,” the poem read. “They blame each other for the state of my life / there’s been a lot of yelling—and crying / so, / lately I’ve been spending a lot of time with my gut / who serves as my unofficial therapist.”
The poem was posted around the same time as news of the engagement of Kravitz and Styles broke. Notably, nothing in the post directly mentions his ex or the engagement. Nevertheless, Tatum and Kravitz started dating in 2021.
They first met when Kravitz scouted and cast Tatum for her directorial debut thriller, Blink Twice. The duo developed a close friendship while working on the film, which later turned into a romance. The former couple reportedly even got engaged, but they broke up eventually due to being at different stages of their lives.
Following her split with Tatum, Kravitz reportedly started dating the former One Direction star in August of last year. The engagement became public after she was seen wearing a large diamond ring. As per sources close to People, the couple shared that they were engaged only with “a small circle.” If industry reports are accurate, the couple potentially got engaged after around eight months of dating.
If reports are to be believed, Tatum’s separation from Kravitz was amicable, so his post might just be a thoughtful reflection that had nothing to do with his ex, amplified by fan speculation because of the timing. Furthermore, Tatum is romantically involved with model Inka Williams.
