The new Adidas World Cup teaser trailer focuses on Timothée Chalamet acting as a scout or director trying to assemble some sort of “dream team” of elite soccer talent before the tournament kicks off in North America. It is a high-energy teaser that has the look and feel of a feature-film trailer featuring a star-studded cast of football legends, current superstars, and pop-culture icons.

The ad opens with a phone call between Chalamet and Bad Bunny, where Chalamet says, “What do I know about soccer? Nothing. I know about football, Benito, football.” Meanwhile, Bad Bunny is seen sharing screen space with soccer legend Lionel Messi. He can be heard saying, “They play ‘win or go home,’ and they’ve never gone home,” to which the soccer legend replies, “These kids are invincible.”

The teaser features quick cuts, chaotic urban settings, and stylized lighting, focusing on the blend of pop culture and intense sport. Some of the standout moments include Chalamet driving with Lamine Yamal and telling him to lock in, while legends like Zinedine Zidane, Alessandro Del Piero, and David Beckham also appear in the teaser.

Apart from Lamine Yamal, other current football stars who make appearances include Jude Bellingham, Trinity Rodman, Ousmane Dembélé, Pedri, Raphinha, Florian Wirtz, and Santiago Giménez.

However, these are just snippets, and the full teaser is expected to be released shortly, as Chalamet teased with the caption, “TMRW.” The teaser is packed with stylish cinematic visuals, street football aesthetics, and celebrity crossover energy.

This will be the first edition of the World Cup to feature 48 teams, and the tournament will kick off with a match between Mexico and South Africa. How excited are you for the full trailer drop? Also, will you be watching the World Cup? Let us know in the comments section below.
