Daredevil: Born Again is currently on its second season, and it’s going all well so far. The series brought back beloved characters, including Jessica Jones, played by Krysten Ritter. She was recently asked questions about the series’s third season, and here’s what the actress had to say.
Krysten Ritter on returning to Daredevil: Born Again S3
In a conversation with Entertainment Weekly, Krysten Ritter was asked whether she’s filming for Season 3 or if she’s on a break, to which she replied, saying, “Um… I don’t know if I’m allowed to say that.”
It was around September 2025 that a third season was confirmed while the team was filming Daredevil: Born Again’s second season. The production status of the third season hasn’t yet been made official.
Ritter, who reprises her role as Jessica Jones, first started in the TV series of the same name that was aired between 2015 and 2019. She then appeared in the 2017 series Defenders in the same role.
The actress officially joined the cast of Daredevil: Born Again in Season 2 alongside her co-star Mike Colter, who plays the role of Luke Cage. Both Jessica and Luke were in a relationship briefly in Defenders.
With the second season of Daredevil: Born Again, their relationship might be expanded upon, especially with the introduction of their daughter Danielle Cage.
She is officially introduced as Jessica Jones’ daughter; however, the series has yet to flesh out her narrative. Ritter even shared her insight on how Danielle’s introduction changes Jessica as a character.
I think when you give her a child, there’s a fierceness, a mama bear, that comes out and gives her real strength and power. That’s the coolest part for me, as a mom myself. To be bigger and badder than ever as a result of having a child is really exciting.
Danielle Cage is portrayed by twin child actors Isabella and Annabelle Ivlev. The character was recently introduced in the episode ‘Requiem.’ Aside from Daredevil: Born Again, Ritter might return to Dexter Resurrection for her role as Mia Lapierre, as some reports suggested.
Daredevil: Born Again is currently available for streaming on Disney+.
