In an exclusive feature by Deadline, it was revealed that Kevin Spacey will be spearheading a period drama movie, most specifically, one based on World War 2.
Roberto Lippolis is both the writer and the director of the upcoming film named Melodies in the Forest. He previously directed the Cat and the Moon in 2019.
Other than Spacey, John Savage and Vincent Spano will also join the cast as the lead actors.
The film follows the journey of Petr Novotni, played by Kevin Spacey. He is an 85-year-old conductor who is kidnapped, and his abductor turns out to be a familiar man. What follows is a flashback to wartime, and it uncovers feelings of guilt, shame, complicity, and most importantly, discomfort.
Spacey is popularly known for playing the role of Frank Underwood, a malicious and notorious politician in Netflix’s House of Cards. He is also a seasoned theater actor who has acted in various Broadway productions.
Besides that, Spacey has acted in several period drama movies such as Looking for Richard, Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, Envelope, Rebel in the Rye, and so on.
He also acted in several political drama TV series, such as Fall from Grace, Darrow, and Recount, where he played the role of politicians and leaders.
Spacey has also worked extensively in both movies and TV shows as an actor, director, and producer. He is currently working on Gore, a drama biopic movie where he will play the role of Gore Vidal. It is currently in its pre-production stages.
