Kevin Hart-led comedy has a youthful ensemble cast
The image released by Netflix showcases Hart along with Marcello Hernández, Mason Gooding, Ben Marshall, and Kam Patterson, who are dressed like they are just about to paint the town red. The story revolves around a 40-year-old marketing professional who gets added to a bachelor party group chat by mistake and ends up having a three-day celebratory streak with strangers.
Other cast members include Teyana Taylor, Zach Cherry, and Michael Mando.
“Here’s your first look at 72 HOURS, a new comedy where a millennial marketing exec crashes a wild bachelor party full of twenty-somethings after being accidentally added to their group chat,” Netflix posted on X.
Kevin Hart and director Tim Story are coming together again for this project, who previously worked with each other on the Ride Along films.
Hernández, Marshall, and Patterson are all part of the Saturday Night Live crew and bring strong sketch-comedy experience to the film. Apart from Hart, the rest of the leading cast members are in their late twenties to early thirties, just beginning to learn the tricks of the trade in their comedic and acting careers. Notably, it aligns with Kevin Hart’s vision of supporting a new generation of young actors and comedians.
“I am very aware that I am getting older and turning into a vet in our business…We do have a responsibility, and that responsibility is to try to position those that are next in the best way to exceed what we’ve done and go above and beyond,” Hart told Extra.
Furthermore, Hart’s long-running association with Netflix continues with his upcoming film. Previously, Hart collaborated with the streaming giant on projects such as Fatherhood, Lift, and his stand-up specials, which include Irresponsible, Zero F— Given, and Reality Check.
