There’s no denying that Zendaya and Tom Holland are one of the most celebrated and loved couples in Hollywood. Fans often pour out their love for both actors on social media, but that’s not it. Recently, actor Jon Bernthal skipped a few years and shared his thoughts on the Spider-Man actor being a dad in the future.
John Bernthal reflects on Tom Holland attaining fatherhood
During his recent appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show, Jon Bernthal was asked about his experience working with Holland. Interestingly, his response highlighted the pair’s long-standing connection that began years ago. “I’ve known him since he was 17. At that age, I never saw somebody with that kind of drive, that kind of confidence, that kind of belief, while also being just deeply kind and good…I love seeing what’s become of him,” he said.
“He’s a real movie star. I love his better half. I love that he’s in love; it makes me so happy that he’s found that. I know that what’s important to him, ultimately, is being a good man. He’s gonna be a great dad,” Bernthal added. For those unfamiliar, he and Holland co-starred in the 2017 movie Pilgrimage, in which they played monks in 13th-century Ireland.
Moreover, the duo has appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with Bernthal playing The Punisher/Frank Castle in the Daredevil series, while Holland plays Peter Parker, aka Spider-Man, in the titular franchise. Holland was once asked in 2021 what he would be if he weren’t an actor. “I love kids. I can’t wait to be a dad—I can wait and I will, but I can’t wait!” he told PEOPLE.
“If I’m at a wedding or a party, I’m always at the kids’ table hanging out. My dad’s been such a great role model for me. I think I’ve got that from him. So I think I’d be a primary school teacher or something like that.” He also spilled the beans on settling down someday and starting a family in the same interview. For now, he is focused on acting and will appear alongside Zendaya in both Odyssey and Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
