Charm, Calculation and Conquest: Classroom Of The Elite episode 8 Review

Classroom of the Elite Season 4 Episode 8 Review. Read on to know the full tea.

With Classroom of the Elite Season 4 hitting its stride, Episode 8 is being called the most brutal chapter of the second-year arc yet. There have been reports of the deserted island survival exam becoming a literal hunt for Ayanokoji’s head. And now, the fallout of the first-year student’s exit has teased that the bounty on Kiyotaka is turning the entire school into a war zone.

The bounty hunt and the 1st year expulsion

During this week’s post-episode breakdown, fans shared a sizzling scoop on the actual motive behind the freshman attacks. A user asked why the new students are so desperate to kick Ayanokoji out of the school.

While the show has already teased a 20-million-point bounty, this episode brought light to the fact that someone from the 1st year was already forced to exit.

This sudden expulsion has put everyone on edge, and now the powerhouse Hosen is more determined than ever to secure that payday and protect his own class from a similar fate. “Episode 8-wise, the focus shifted from simple survival to a targeted assassination attempt,” critics noted.

As for the Hosen plot… I heard something interesting about how he’s been working with Nanase to corner Kiyotaka in the woods.” While Ayanokoji managed to avoid a direct brawl for now, the sheer desperation of the first-years—who are terrified of being the next ones to leave—makes the case for a total breakdown of order.

A hidden White Room rival revealed

The episode reaches a breaking point when the audience finally sees the face behind the curtain. Since the show has already discarded the idea that Ayanokoji can just hide in the background, the final minutes revealed that a second student from the White Room is officially on the island.

But guess what? While the viewers saw the hidden rival’s identity during a chilling monologue, Ayanokoji is still completely in the dark about who they are. He’s busy tracking Hosen and Nanase, meaning he could be blindsided by a threat he hasn’t even calculated yet.

Created and based on the light novels by Shogo Kinugasa, the series continues to dominate the psychological thriller genre. Meanwhile, one user pointed out a different point with an interesting theory.

“Nanase seems like she has a personal grudge because of that suicide flashback,” they wrote. “I’m guessing the White Room student is just using her as a shield. Even if she thinks she’s in control.

With the island exam nearing its halfway point, the guessing game on who will be expelled next continues. Who do you think will actually claim that 20 million point bounty?
