The Mohave County Medical Examiner’s Office in Arizona has officially ruled Darrell Sheets’ death a s—–. Sheets was 67 years old and was found dead at his home in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. “The male was pronounced deceased on scene, and the Lake Havasu City Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Unit was notified and responded to the scene to assume the investigation,” a press release from the Lake Havasu City Police Department read.

As per media reports, Rene Nezhoda, one of Sheets’ longtime Storage Wars rivals, publicly claimed that he was subjected to cyberbullying before his death. Now, the Lake Havasu City Police Department has confirmed that authorities are actively investigating the allegations, and his cellphone has been submitted for forensic analysis.

Nezhoda claimed that someone had been impersonating Sheets, harassing him online, and had threatened to “ruin” him. “We are aware of these cyberbullying accusations and that is a part of the active investigation,” Arizona police confirmed to TMZ.

Sheets was one of the breakout stars of the Storage Wars franchise, appearing in more than 15 seasons. Nicknamed “The Gambler,” he became known for his aggressive bidding style and big locker gambles. After leaving the show in 2023, he opened an antique store in Arizona called “Havasu Show Me Your Junk.”

“We are saddened by the passing of a beloved member of our Storage Wars family, Darrell ‘The Gambler’ Sheets. Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones during this difficult time,” a spokesperson for A&E, the network on which Storage Wars aired, said.

Sheets’ son also posted an emotional tribute, stating that he was heartbroken. “I love you Dad and I will do my best to live in your honor and respect our family,” Brandon’s caption read.

“Let’s all continue to build those memories and keep the legacy that is ‘Darrell (The Gambler) Sheets,'” it further added.
