Audrey Hepburn biopic unveils its first stellar visuals
Deadline recently shared exclusive photos of the first look from Dinner With Audrey, featuring Thomasin McKenzie as Audrey Hepburn and Ansel Elgort as Hubert de Givenchy. McKenzie can be seen donning a classic black dress with a striking red lip and the iconic Hepburn hairstyle. The entire outfit is dainty and chic and yet so mesmerizing.
Elgort, on the other hand, is wearing a black textured suit and trousers that exude a suave yet delicate charm of the bygone era. These shots were taken in Budapest, Hungary, as confirmed by the outlet. Meanwhile, the additional cast members joining the duo include Miranda Richardson as Hepburn’s mother, Ella van Heemstra, Michael Shannon as Billy Wilder, and Judy Greer as Edith Head.
Written by Kara Holden, Dinner with Audrey sheds light on Audrey Hepburn’s rise to stardom, but most specifically her bond with the famed and celebrated fashion designer Givenchy. Fashion enthusiasts and connoisseurs know how Givenchy’s fashion shaped that era significantly. From her signature black bodycon dress in Breakfast at Tiffany’s to her structured pink and white ensemble in Funny Face, Audrey Hepburn served looks back in the day.
As they say, the dresses wore her, and she stood out in those outfits that were nothing short of regalia. The movie is replicating the retro vintage vibe with its first look. So far, the details about the costume designer behind this project have been under wraps. However, Leticia Bartos is joining the film as a junior costume assistant.
She worked on Nuremberg, Lee, and most notably, in the costume and wardrobe department of Dune: Part Three. The film will be directed by Abe Sylvia and spearheaded by Wayfarer Studios, owned by Justin Baldoni. Moreover, it is co-produced by Hyde Park Entertainment and Mad Chance Productions. Dinner With Audrey is currently in its filming stages.
