XO, Kitty is all set to sweep you off your feet with its third season. It’s releasing this April and will have major reveals, twists, and swoon-worthy moments. The series is a perfect addition to your list of rom-coms, and this season might just take the dramatic quotient to a whole new level. Here’s everything fans can expect from the upcoming season.
Kitty’s final year at KISS
It’s Kitty Song Covey’s final year at the Korean Independent School of Seoul, aka KISS. She travelled all the way from the States to South Korea for her boyfriend Dae in the first season. It didn’t bode well initially, but she settled down and managed to find her tribe at KISS. She made real and trustworthy friends like Q, who stood by her side. The final year would be a tearjerker for sure, as it would have a plethora of memorable moments, be it parties, gatherings, more drama, and so on.
Family Reunions call for heart-rending moments
In season one, Kitty had no clue about her mother’s side of the family. She gradually learns about her, and Minho and Alex help her out, and by Season 2, she reunites with them. The second season unfurled major secrets and a painful past, yet Kitty makes peace with her family. She is seen planning a reunion with Minho and roping Margot in as well.
With Season 3, we have a not-so-subtle cameo of Lara Jean Covey. LJ helps Kitty out in her most adverse situation, and it would ultimately make her realize certain things about the state she is in.
Romantic tension, conflicts and everything in-between
It’s not a great romcom if there isn’t any romantic tension or conflicts. XO, Kitty, too, follows this secret sauce for the majority of its seasons. With Dae, Yuri, and now, Minho, Kitty finds herself being entangled in an emotional mess. She tries to fit into Minho’s world, and it’s precisely his Dad that gives her a reality check.
Yuri and Juliana broke up in the last season, and we see a new couple, Juliana and Praveena. The story also focuses on their budding romance on the sidelines, along with Kitty’s underlying issues, both in the romantic realm as well as her education.
The Aftermath
It all boils down to Kitty’s choices by the end of it all. She must realize her true feelings and make proper decisions. It is her last year at KISS; hence, it also points to her future, most importantly her career, as her professors note that she is indeed lagging behind. Season 3 will mostly focus on the to-and-fro between Kitty and Minho, her future in Seoul, and her ties with her family.
XO, Kitty is slated for release on April 2, 2026.
