There are an endless number of OTTs that provide originals and other popular shows that go with everyone, despite their age or where they belong. And Netflix is one such platform; with its vast library of shows and movies, it often focuses on the breakout hits, such as Wednesday, Stranger Things, or the popular shows like Young Sheldon or Schitt’s Creek.
But with everything good comes something that is way too bad. On the other end of the spectrum, if you see, there are some shows or titles that consistently come up in conversations that most of us regret watching. As we know, not every experiment needs to land on top of the hierarchy or headlines, and these three shows have become prime examples of how even big names, huge extravagant premises, or real-life mysteries aren’t always enough to win over us or the fans in collective.
3. The Regime

Take The Regime, for example. On paper, it should have been a satirical powerhouse, but in reality, we got something people should completely avoid watching. With Kate Winslet leading a politically charged dark comedy, many expected something sharp, clever, and timely. Instead, what we found is confusion that is toned by never quite settled jokes and that felt oddly flat for a satire.
As the audiences who hoped for biting humor or sophisticated commentary were met with a show that felt slow, oddly muted, and unsure of its own point of view. Even though it had a list of popular and prestigious cast, the series honestly struggled a lot to convince us that it had something meaningful or even entertaining to say about modern politics.
2. Insatiable

Well, this show also found itself in a different kind of trouble, and from the very start we have seen how the critics were harsh on its writing, tone, and messaging. Which, by the way, also led to a very low Rotten Tomatoes score and widespread online pushback, plus viewers and audiences described it as a very confusing show. None of us understood whether it wanted to be edgy, heartfelt, or satirical, and it ultimately landed in a messy middle that satisfied none of the claims it promised to deliver. As many fans pointed out, it wasn’t just the premise that bothered them; it was the execution, so much so that some even joked on Reddit that they couldn’t identify a single redeeming quality, which tells you just how far the show missed the mark.
3. Crime Scene: The Vanishing at the Cecil Hotel

And honestly, with this show, there is no denying why everyone should avoid it because it delivered nothing. It is a docuseries that promised unsettling mysteries and a deep dive into one of Los Angeles’ most infamous locations. Instead, what we got were episodes that were padded with filler, sensationalism, and meandering speculation. By the end, many felt it failed to offer insight or a meaningful perspective and didn’t earn the suspense it worked so hard to create. The result was a finale many described as anticlimactic, leaving audiences wondering why the buildup never paid off.
