Zendaya doesn’t play when it comes to listing her favorite movie performances. She is an accomplished and esteemed actress who rose to fame with her role as MJ in the Spider-Man franchise. The Euphoria star recently named her favorite Spider-Man, and she might be a little biased in this case.
Zendaya plays favorites with her choice for best Spider-Man
Zendaya attended the Jimmy Kimmel Show to promote her recent movie, The Drama. She stars in the lead role alongside Robert Pattinson. Zendaya was asked by Jimmy Kimmel if Tom Holland is the best Spider-Man in her opinion. Her answer was pure gold: “I’m biased, but yes. And he’s done a really great job.”
Kimmel and Zendaya had playful back-and-forth banter. The host questioned the actress about whether she had watched Spider-Man. He also asked about her thoughts on the upcoming Spider-Man movie, to which she said, “I mean, honestly, it’s such a huge part of our story, obviously, and we grew up making those films. And it’s such a privilege to be able to do them, and I know Tom cares so much about the role and doing it justice.
Zendaya and Tom Holland met on the sets of Spider-Man: Homecoming. She played the role of MJ while Holland played Peter Parker, aka Spider-Man. This was in 2017, and the pair began dating shortly after. Their chemistry is unmatchable, and Zendaya has praised her partner on several occasions.
In an interview with the Sunday Mirror, she revealed Holland was the best person to work with. “Honestly, I know people might think it’s awkward, but he is my favorite person to work with.”
Holland also makes sure to return the favor, especially with his 2021 post. At the CFDA Awards, he praised Zendaya’s achievement when she won the award for Fashion Icon. He called it an “incredible achievement for an incredible person” in his Instagram post dedicated to her.
Both Holland and Zendaya will reunite for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which will release on July 31st, 2026.
