The romantic relationship between Tom Holland and Zendaya has been going strong since they first met on the sets of Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2016. Fast forward to 2026, and wedding speculation about the couple has been swirling across the internet. Not only that, but AI-generated wedding photographs of the duo have also been circulating, prompting the actress to debunk claims about their alleged nuptials.
Many people in her personal life were fooled by viral wedding photos, says Zendaya
In a recent interview with Jimmy Kimmel, the renowned Hollywood actress addressed the fake wedding photos of her and Tom Holland. The photos, which have been circulating on social media and garnering massive engagement, show Holland in a dapper black tuxedo and Zendaya in a white gown and veil, captured in wedding-style shots.
In one of the images, Holland is seen holding a Spider-Man mask with the Challengers actress beside him. In another, the Spider-Man actor can be seen popping a champagne bottle.
The Dune star informed that many people she came across in her personal life were “fooled” by these photos. “Many people have been fooled by them while I was out and about in real life. People were like, ‘Your wedding photos were gorgeous,’ and I was like, ‘Babe, they’re AI.’ They’re not real. Many people [in my life] were fooled by them,” she said.
Furthermore, she leaned into a funny bit about the incident on Jimmy Kimmel Live! to “clear the confusion,” where she insisted on showing a wedding clip, which turned out to be from her upcoming movie, The Drama, featuring Robert Pattinson as the groom, but Holland’s face was superimposed over Pattinson’s.
“That was real footage; I was there,” she joked when Kimmel asked if the footage was AI-generated.
According to media reports, the actress’s stylist, Law Roach, suggested the couple may have already tied the knot in a private ceremony, while she was also reportedly spotted wearing both a diamond ring and a band at the 2026 Oscars, further fueling speculation.
Zendaya is currently on a promotional run for The Drama, which releases worldwide in theaters on April 3, 2026. Safe to say, she is currently focused on her professional commitments and is mum on the wedding speculation. Nevertheless, people must be wary of online photos and videos in the era of deepfakes.
