The world that Mark Grayson has been dealing with in Invincible has already seen some rough enemies come at him, but none have been like Grand Regent Thragg. As Season 4 continues to build towards his introduction, fans of the comics and TV series know one thing for sure: when Thragg enters the scene, things are going to be different.
Invincible Season 4 is set to bring the ruthless Viltrumite leader
Grand Regent Thragg is at the top of the Viltrumite Empire. After the death of Emperor Argall, Thragg took over what was left of the empire after the Scourge Virus killed thousands of Viltrumites. For thousands of years, he has ruled over the Viltrumites with his code of survival of the fittest.
Expansion is the only goal in his mind. Any planet that resists his empire, including Earth, becomes his target. This means he is at direct odds with Mark Grayson and his father, Omni-Man.
While Season 3 has already seen how formidable Conquest, voiced by Jeffrey Dean Morgan himself, can be in the world of Invincible, Thragg is in a world all his own.
Born and trained to be a leader and warrior, Thragg has been considered the best Viltrumite warrior out there. In the comics, even Mark’s strongest punches barely even move him. Thragg has been known to rip apart enemies with one motion.
His durability may be one of his most impressive features. Thragg has been known to survive in the vicinity of a star’s surface for a long time. This would kill any other character in the Invincible world.
Prime Video has already announced Thragg’s introduction into Season 4 in early March 2026, with Lee Pace voicing the role. The teaser has already shown how calm he really is in dealing with enemies he considers to be “light work,” getting rid of one of the biggest players in the Invincible world in mere seconds.
Thragg has nothing but contempt for Omni-Man, considering him a traitor to the Viltrumite bloodline. Another upcoming confrontation he has in store for him is with Battle Beast, one of the few opponents in the Invincible world that has what it takes to give Thragg a serious fight.
