The characters in question are Ryu Ishigori and Takako Uro, who are set to play a significant role in the upcoming storyline.

The chaos of the Shibuya Incident marks a major touch point in the Culling Game narrative. The current season centers on a battle-royal-style survival battle arranged by the story’s primary antagonist, where sorcerers, new and reincarnated from ancient eras, compete against each other in deadly colonies. Amid the company of the current sorcerers, two new ones will make their entry.
One of the participants is Ryu Ishigori, who is in the game simply for the love of fighting. A reincarnated sorcerer, with overwhelming cursed energy output, he is not motivated by personal vendettas or ideals. Without a chip on his shoulder, he exhibits a confident and carefree attitude. His fighting style relies heavily on brute force and destructive energy blasts rather than complex techniques.
Meanwhile, Takako Uro, who was once the captain of an elite assassin squad, is a reincarnated sorcerer from 1000 years ago. Unlike Ryu Ishigori, his approach towards battle is more tactical and refined. The key weapon in her tactical gear is the ability to manipulate space itself, and in the process, distort or redirect attacks with precision. She is known for her “sky manipulation” technique, which makes her one of the most menacing opponents in the colony. In a nutshell, she can weaponize space itself and use it against her opponents. Her past is mired in betrayal and sacrifice, and that shapes her personality.
Infused with purpose, she shows moral restraint, not targeting civilians or weak players unnecessarily.
