The new Harry Potter TV series has taken over the internet with its new trailer. It stars Dominic McLaughlin in the lead role, but that’s not it. While fans are eager and excited for the upcoming series, Tom Felton did his bit to encourage the new Draco Malfoy, Lox Pratt.
Tom Felton’s words of encouragement for Lox Pratt
Tom Felton recently reached out to Lox Pratt, who plays Draco Malfoy in the upcoming HBO Harry Potter TV Series. The actor recently appeared on the Happy Sad Confused podcast hosted by Josh Horowitz.
He spoke about his career, the new Harry Potter series, and his message for the new Draco Malfoy, to which he said, “Have as much fun as possible, take as many pictures as you can, steal as many props as you can—they’ll be worth a fortune. But also, if you do need a word of encouragement or questions to ask, I’m there.”
The Harry Potter cast kept some of the props as memorabilia and keepsakes, and Tom Felton is no different. The actor took home the silver ring he wore in the films. It’s the quintessential Salazar Slytherin ring, and quite honestly, his encouraging Pratt to steal is funny enough.
Other than Felton, Daniel Radcliffe also reached out to the new cast, especially Dominic McLaughlin. Both Radcliffe and Felton rose to prominence with their roles in the original Harry Potter films. He revealed writing a letter to the young star in a 2025 interview with Good Morning America.
Besides that, he also spoke about the fame and spotlight affecting the cast in the future. He gave his word of advice, saying, “I hope you have the best time, and an even better time than I did – I had a great time, but I hope you have an even better time.'”
The new Harry Potter TV series is a more lore-accurate version that is authentic to the books. It reflects a rather authentic portrayal of characters and fleshes out instances that weren’t expanded on in the films, per say. The TV series will be released on December 25th, 2026.
