It is always tragic when a gifted artist is taken from the world in the prime of their lives. Therefore, it came as a shock to Hollywood when renowned movie and theater actress Natasha Richardson tragically passed away at the age of 45. Now, her The Parent Trap co-star Dennis Quaid has remembered her fondly in a recent interview, paying a near-tearful tribute in the process.

Dennis Quaid wishes he could have worked with Natasha Richardson again!

In a recent interview on the Out of Order podcast, Dennis Quaid almost broke down in tears while talking about Natasha Richardson. Heaping praise on the late actress, the actor said that if there ever were a person he would want to work with again, it would be Richardson, as she was an “incredible” human being.

“Natasha, she was just an incredible person and amazing. If there is anybody I would ever want to work with again, it would be her,” the Hollywood star said.

When asked what specifically he liked about her, Quaid stated that apart from being an “amazing actor,” he admired her charming attitude and the relationship she had with her children.“She has a charm to her, and just a relationship with her own kids, which she also brought to this. And there’s something magical about her; you just forget about all this other stuff.”

Quaid’s comments echo those of other actors, including Lindsay Lohan and Elaine Stritch, who remembered Richardson as a kind, warm, and exceptionally generous person who created a welcoming environment on set and was a wonderful mother. The actor further lamented the tragic skiing accident that caused her death, leaving behind two children.

The Tony Award-winning actress sustained a head injury after falling on a beginner ski slope at Mont Tremblant Resort in Quebec on March 16, 2009. She initially refused medical attention, as she felt fine. However, she later developed a severe headache and was taken to a local hospital before being flown to Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City. Treatment continued there, but she ultimately died of an epidural hematoma caused by blunt force trauma to her head.

Nevertheless, the actress left an impressive body of work in theater and film, winning the 1998 Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical for Cabaret and earning critical acclaim for her roles in The Handmaid’s Tale and The Parent Trap, among other achievements. She was married to Liam Neeson and had two sons with him.
