While the red carpet at the 2026 Actors’ Awards had its share of glamour moments, it is Taylor Zakhar Perez who provided one of the evening’s biggest stories—but it had nothing to do with fashion.
Taylor Zakhar Perez shares wild fan story
While talking to E! Entertainment, Taylor Zakhar Perez revisited what he termed as his “wildest” fan moment—a story that seems quite intense on paper but, as told by Perez himself, had an unexpected touch of warmth. The Red, White & Royal Blue star revealed that “Somebody followed me to China and then followed me back home. So that was—that was interesting.” Perez said in a half-laughing tone about his wild fan moment.
While the story of a fan following an actor all the way to China could have had a much darker tone in this age of globalization, Taylor Zakhar Perez himself diffused any alarm. When asked if he felt safe during the situation, Taylor Zakhar Perez grinned and said, “She was great.”
The momentum probably stems from his visit to Shanghai in 2023 to attend a fashion event, as hundreds of his fans were seen waiting to catch a glimpse of the star at the airport.
However, Perez is using the momentum to propel an even bigger 2026, as he’s currently in London shooting the sequel to the film Red, White, & Royal Wedding, reprising his character Alex Claremont-Diaz.
This time around, the star has revealed that he’s training at 4:30 a.m. to get “shredded,” a hint to his fans that they might see him in “less than underwear.”
He’s also revealed that reprising his role was like “stepping right back into rhythm,” as he reunited with his co-star Nicholas Galitzine, despite the latter’s physical transformation to get into character for an action-packed film of his own.
From the global fan base to the sequel, Perez’s star power shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon.
