Everything Everywhere All at Once is possibly one of the most acclaimed films of the year 2022. It paved the way for Daniel Scheinert‘s and Daniel Kwan’s finesse. The duo was recently working on a promising big-budget film, but it seems Ryan Gosling walked out of the project.
Ryan Gosling quits Daniel Scheinert and Daniel Kwan’s film
Daniel Scheinert and Daniel Kwan are the celebrated directors behind Everything Everywhere All at Once, which starred Michelle Yeoh and Ke Huy Quan in central roles.
In 2024, it was announced that the duo, also referred to as the Daniels, is working on an untitled film, which was then reported to be slated for release in 2027. Turns out that Ryan Gosling has seemingly walked out of the film, citing scheduling conflicts as reported by Variety. The film was originally scheduled for June 2027, but they later shifted it to November 2027.
Right after the news broke out, fans were quick to pitch in for Ryan Gosling’s role in the Marvel movie. After his fabulous performance in Project Hail Mary, the fans put forth the idea of the actor playing Ghost Rider in a future Marvel movie, but that’s not it.
Ryan Gosling is on a roll with his groundbreaking performance in Project: Hail Mary. He has received quite the praise and acclaim after the film’s box office success. The movie went on to surpass $300 million globally in its gross earnings.
Critics have thoroughly praised the film’s adaptation of Andy Weir’s novel of the same name. Gosling played the role of a scientist who finds himself stranded in a spaceship with no memories of his own.
The actor is all set to star in Star Wars: Starfighter, which will release next year. He will also star in Tough Guys alongside Will Ferrell. This film is written by Daniel Gold and is, by no means, a remake of the 1986 film.
As for the other two Daniels, they will resume the production of their untitled film; however, it is still unknown as to who will replace Ryan Gosling.
