You know what Avengers: Doomsday and Dune: Part 3 have in common? Well, they’re releasing on the same day, and it has some fans picking sides, but here’s the thing. Rebecca Ferguson isn’t falling for this, especially with her unbiased approach to both films.

Rebecca Ferguson’s unbiased approach toward film releases

When asked by Entertainment Tonight about both films, she responded, saying, “I believe in incredible filmmaking and for people to go and see it on the big screen, and if you can make a bombastic, huge film that draws the audience, that’s amazing.”

Apparently, Dune: Part 3 and Avengers Doomsday are releasing on the same day, i.e., 18th December 2026. It’s a Barbenheimer situation, but there’s an exception to it. While some fans are busy picking sides, the majority are looking forward to both films.

They are estimated to be blockbuster hits, and not to mention, both films are high-budget. Dune: Part 3 would mark an end to the famed film trilogy based on Frank Herbert’s sci-fi novels. The final release is estimated to have a budget of around $200 million.

Avengers: Doomsday, in a similar vein, has a budget of a whopping $500-600 million. It has been almost 6 years since Marvel Studios finally delivered yet another iconic movie from the franchise.

Ferguson will reprise her role as Lady Jessica in Dune: Part 3, though her role will be minimal. The actress also shed light on her inner thoughts about the final movie. She appeared on Josh Horowitz’s podcast Happy Sad Confused, where she spoke up about the trilogy’s ending. She said:

“That was a weird feeling, walking onto a set that you know so well, and knowing that you don’t have a part of it. There’s a lot of F—. And the acceptance of, ‘This is just what it is.’ You just have to serve [the story].”

Dune: Part 3 is set 12 years after the events of the second movie. The film will feature Zendaya, Timothée Chalamet, and Robert Pattinson in central roles.
