Suits is an iconic legal drama series that should be on your quintessential watchlist. It also made Patrick J. Adams a household name as a distinguished actor. The actor, however, did not star in the spinoff Suits LA, and he had a good reason behind it.
Patrick J. Adams on why he didn’t join Suits LA
In an interview with Screenrant about his absence from Suits LA, Patrick J. Adams said, “I was too busy. I had a lot of stuff going on.” The actor previously starred in the original series Suits. It aired from 2011 to 2019, for almost a decade.
He played Michael Ross alongside Meghan Markle. Ross is a college dropout, although he possesses impressive abilities for a lawyer. He has exceptional photographic memory and analytical and problem-solving skills.
When asked by ScreenRant if he would want to return to the show in the future, Adams said, “I have so much love for that world and the characters that we created. So if it was the right thing, for sure, I’d always be open to it. But it feels like maybe we’re taking a pause after Suits LA? So yeah, but I love Mike. I mean, that role, that character, and that show gave me the whole life that I’ve grown very accustomed to.“
This is precisely why Harvey Specter keeps him on his team; however, Ross eventually had to pay the price for his fraudulent activities. Gabriel Macht plays the role of Harvey Specter and reprised it in Suits LA. He appeared alongside Rick Hoffman, who played the role of Louis Litt in the original series. The show was cancelled due to low ratings and poor reviews, which eventually affected viewership.
Patrick J. Adams is all set to feature in The Madison. It’s a spinoff series to Yellowstone, which will focus on the Clyburn family. It is set in present-day Montana, and Adams will play the role of an investment banker.
The Madison is slated for release on 14th March 2026.
