For many, Nick Jonas is synonymous with the golden era of the Disney Channel. From his work in musical productions to his rise as a teen heartthrob with the Jonas Brothers, he has become a staple of a generation of young people brought up on Disney. However, the singer has recently revealed just how connected he is with his former co-stars.
Nick Jonas reflects on Disney days
Ironically, the Jonas Brothers revealed that they do not maintain regular relationships with most of the people they worked with during their time on the Disney Channel. While speaking to a fan recently, the singer revealed that he had reunited with some of the people he worked with on the Camp Rock film, but most of the people he had worked with had moved on with their own lives. However, the singer had the chance to meet some of the people he had worked with at the JonasCon, which is a special event that celebrated 20 years of the Jonas Brothers’ career, along with other Camp Rock cast members.
“Some of the cast from Camp Rock came out for JonasCon, which is just a convention where it’s all Jonas Brothers stuff to celebrate the 20 years. Outside of that, not really anyone. We’ve all grown up, and everyone’s found their own path in life and journey.”
These comments quickly ignited conversation online. Of course, many fans appreciated the honesty from Nick Jonas, understanding that friendships evolve over time. Many fans were quick to remind one another that life after Disney Channel had taken many of the former Disney stars in different directions, making it hard to maintain friendships.
Jonas did go on to explain, however, that he was happy to see everyone thriving in their own respective careers. As he went on to explain, seeing everyone grow and take their own paths was something he thought was beautiful.
Though the friendships may not be as strong as they once seemed, the influence of shows such as Camp Rock and the rise of the Jonas Brothers still holds a special place in pop culture history.
