Everyone’s revved up for the upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day movie. It will be released in the summer, but there have been major revelations regarding new cast members. Sadie Sink, in particular, is set to play a huge role, and here’s what we know so far.

Sadie Sink’s role in Spider-Man: Brand New Day revealed

Sadie Sink is joining Spider-Man: Brand New Day as one of the cast members. Her role, so far, has not been disclosed anywhere. She is shown in trailers, and it seems like the clip leaked some lines. Her character in the trailer said, “You’re a mess, Spider-Man. Don’t get in my way. Otherwise, it won’t just be your friends who don’t remember who Peter Parker is.”

The trailer leak happened back in December, and with new images, fans have speculated her possible role in the film. These lines were then omitted from the trailer, later on. Some suggest that she might play the role of Punisher, while others wildly suggest that the actress will play Jean Grey. It is a bit of an odd placement to say Jean Grey, considering there have been no reports of a crossover between the X-Men and the upcoming movie. The fans made this direct link after a photo of the actress surfaced wearing a green hoodie.

The photo is eerily similar to a Jean Grey illustration from the comics, which is fair enough. Fan art and tributes are another way to see it. There have been many posts suggesting the actress would fit into the role.

Yet another interesting claim by some fans is that Sadie Sink might play Screwball. Why, you may ask? Well, in the stills from the trailer, her character is shown surrounded by tech equipment. It is a hooded figure shown with open arms while the background shows computers and other apparatuses. So far, the trailer has left fans baffled for the most part. There has been no official confirmation as to what her role might be.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day releases on 31st July 2026.
