The latest issue of SFX Magazine (February 25, 2026) just dropped some massive news for Daredevil fans everywhere—and honestly, it seems like Season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again is going darker than ever. Showrunner Dario Scardapane just dropped some bombshell news about the upcoming Season 2—it seems like we’ll be jumping forward six months after the Season 1 finale. So when we return on March 24, 2026, on Disney+, we won’t be returning in chaos—we’ll be entering a new New York City that’s already been changed.
And trust me, it’s not for the better.
Daredevil: Born Again season 2 jumps six months ahead
It seems like the “Fisk administration has really taken hold,” Scardapane says—the rebirth of the city is really just a euphemism for the decay that’s been happening. And Mayor Wilson Fisk isn’t just consolidating his own power—he’s actively changing the face of New York City to suit his own twisted desires. And with his anti-vigilante task force fully operational, it means that Matt Murdock isn’t just a vigilante—he’s a rebel. A revolutionary. A ghost haunting a city that no longer wants him around.
For fans of the Netflix era, there’s one more huge bonus: Jessica Jones is back. Krysten Ritter will be reprising her role as the character, and it will be acknowledged that seven years have passed since Jessica Jones wrapped up its run. Scardapane revealed that the bourbon-swilling PI we know and love has aged well. That means rather than being the somewhat reckless loner she has been previously, Jessica may be more of a survivor and possibly even drawing from her later comic book runs.
And the best part of all of this news? Season 2 will be wrapping up the “Mayor Fisk” arc. While Season 3 has been announced to be in the works, the political struggle and back-and-forth between the heroes and Fisk will be coming to a close. The plan for the rest of the series? A return to the gritty street-level storytelling of the Frank Miller era.
Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll), Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson), and Wilson Bethel’s Bullseye will be back. In fact, Karen will be playing a major role within the resistance. Wilson Bethel’s character will be up to some rather crazy stuff.
Eight episodes. A fallen city. A revolution on the horizon. March cannot get here soon enough.
