Miley Cyrus is back in the spotlight again as she revives the global pop culture icon of the 2000s, Hannah Montana. Yes, Disney+ is coming up with the Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special, which will premiere on March 24, 2026. While on the promotional run for the special, the popular American singer got candid about whether she is ever going to perform at the Super Bowl.

Miley Cyrus will perform at the Super Bowl on one condition

In a recent interview with Variety, Miley Cyrus stated that performing at the Super Bowl was “too much pressure.” However, she didn’t rule out the possibility of headlining the event, provided that she can take her fans on a journey through her discography.

“I always think the Super Bowl feels like too much pressure. […] But if I could find a way to make it exactly what the Hannahversary was—taking a journey through the discography and appreciating each song, each era for what it is—I think I could find it in myself,” she stated.

The “Hannahversary” is a tribute to the TV show that made Miley Cyrus famous. It will feature interviews, performances, behind-the-scenes footage, and reunion moments celebrating 20 years of Hannah Montana.

The show’s cultural impact was immense, as the pop star released several No. 1 albums tied to the franchise, with songs charting on Billboard. The TV show debuted in 2006 and aired its final episode on January 16, 2011.

“We have so many shared memories. We actually grew up together,” Cyrus can be seen telling the crowd in the trailer for the special. “I loved being Hannah then, I’m so living for it now.”

The trailer also shows Cyrus assuming her alter ego after a long time and performing songs from her Hannah Montana days, sending fans on a nostalgia trip. However, Hannah Montana fans must note that this is a one-off special, and there are no touring plans announced by Miley Cyrus.

In fact, in a 2023 interview with British Vogue, she stated that she has no intention of touring in the near future. While many artists and musicians consider performing at the Super Bowl halftime show a defining career moment, Miley Cyrus feels no such pressure.

However, if she were to perform at the event, it would have to be a meaningful encapsulation of the singer-songwriter’s musical journey.
