An X account named Marvel Mania posted that Stan Lee-style cameos will be replaced by The Watcher. The Watcher is a cosmic being who observes events across the multiverse and has already been introduced through the animated series What If…?

Now, the X post has been community noted, stating that there are no credible reports that could verify the development. The note categorized the report as “fan interpreted.” However, the X account hit back, saying that “the head of the Marvel television himself posted about the cameo of the watcher.”

In the Marvel movies, Stan Lee used to make fun appearances as random characters in the story, and the cameos weren’t important to the plot of the film, but fans loved spotting the legendary figure. He used to appear for a few seconds and played ordinary roles like a deliveryman, a bus driver, or a security guard, and delivered funny or ironic lines.
The Watcher is known for breaking the fourth wall and narrating alternate realities. Furthermore, Marvel is currently deeply into multiverse storytelling, and The Watcher fits into that structure perfectly.
