Ever since it was reported that Denis Villeneuve is directing the next James Bond, fans have put forth their casting suggestions. There’s Callum Turner, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, James Norton, and now, Louis Partridge, according to speculations.
Louis Patridge eyes James Bond role
As reported by Variety, Louis Partridge is currently eyeing the role of James Bond. The film will be directed by Denis Villeneuve and will be written by Steven Knight.
Knight worked on Peaky Blinders, House of Guinness, and also directed Serenity and various other films. He’s a director, producer, and screenwriter who has worked on acclaimed shows.
So where does Louis Patridge come in? Well, there were reports of Knight casting a younger version of Bond, and the actor seems to fit the bill. He even chuckled about the thought of impressing the Director, saying, “I’ve got to prepare something for the premiere! Maybe I could just be at the bar swilling a martini, saying nothing,” in a 2025 interview with Variety.
He is one of the contenders for the Bond movie, and there’s a growing anticipation among readers and viewers as to who will bag the role. However, it hasn’t been made official as of yet.
Partridge is also working on several projects as of now. The actor shot to fame after his notable role in Enola Holmes, where he played the lead character’s love interest, Tewksbury.
The actor also appeared in Noah Baumbach’s 2025 film Jay Kelly, where he played the role of a young Timothy Galligan. He’s an aspiring actor who is overshadowed, and his big break is stolen from him. The film conveyed the perils of the acting industry brilliantly.
He also recently worked on House of Guinness, where he played the role of a young Edward Guinness. Edward is the heir of the largest brewery in Ireland that specializes in stout.
Not only that, Partridge is all set to feature in the upcoming limited series Pride and Prejudice, where he will play John Wickham. He will star alongside Emma Corrin and Jack Lowden in this series produced by Netflix.
As for his James Bond role, so far there have been speculations but no confirmations as of yet.
