There’s momentum, there’s action, and most importantly, there’s anticipation when it comes to The Boys’ Season 5 release. Amazon Prime’s Emmy Award-winning drama series is going out on a high note this April with its final season. Here’s what Jack Quaid had to say, or rather, tease the audience about potential deaths in the upcoming season.
Jack Quaid teases character deaths in The Boys
Jack Quaid, who plays Hughie Campbell in The Boys, showed up at The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon. He spoke about the final season when asked by Fallon if anyone would survive in the show. Quaid hilariously responded, saying:
“No.. In no way. It’s The Boys, you know it’s not going to be a fairytale ending in any regard. But yeah, no, like this is the final season, we really do mean that. There are characters that, I won’t say who, but who meet their end, and it’s crazy. It’s really, really nuts, and it was-it was emotional, like, you know.
The Boys is unlike most superhero shows; it’s filled with satire, dark comedy, and an unconventional take on the entire concept of heroism. There are heroes, villains, and then there are anti-heroes.
Eric Kripke’s show reflects themes of morality, ethics, and responsibility by enmeshing them in an atmosphere of conflict. The carnage, gore, and profanity are ever-present throughout the seasons, and this is something that’s not going anywhere anytime soon.
Quaid shed light on the macabre aspect of the show and how being emotional while being surrounded by gore was almost contradictory yet spot on.
I’m covered in blood a lot on the show, umm, and it was so weird that you know me covered in blood and various goos, and then you just like also be emotional about that and you’re like “I’m really going to miss this,” and I’m like just drenched head to toe, but yeah, it’s just like, it’s just been the honor of my life. Like, I truly love the show and everyone involved.
The Boys Season 5 will release on April 8, 2026. It can be streamed on Amazon Prime.
