Chainsaw Man, a celebrated slasher-action anime, is reportedly closing the curtain. The manga will end soon, as some reports suggest. What does it mean for Tatsuki Fujimoto’s opus, though? Let’s unpack this!
Tatsuki Fujimoto’s Chainsaw Man to end soon
As reported by Gizmodo, Shonen Jump has told Viz Media that Chainsaw Man has come to a close. This is right after reports and rumors circulated on the internet about the manga ending in two weeks. Shonen Jump News shared the news of the manga ending on March 25th with Chapter 232.
They also reported that Chainsaw Man’s official account and editor listed Chapter 232 as the final chapter. Shueisha, on the other hand, has not yet responded to the news as of now. The official X account of Shonen Jump released a panel featuring Denji and Pochita on X. It hinted at the series’ ending, which left many fans confused. This was made on 10th March, and Shueisha also confirmed the news as of late.
The English publishers, in particular, confirmed this, saying: “The Shonen Jump team has confirmed Chainsaw Man is ending, but details are yet to be confirmed.”
This comes as a shocker for hardcore fans, mainly because the Reze Arc film performed well. It has a rating of 8.3/10 on IMDb, and many viewers praised it for its animation. The manga, on the other hand, had its fair share of highs and lows, mainly because of the hiatus. Which brings us to the important question of the hour. Is Chainsaw Man really ending?
The answer is yes. It is a definite yes, in this case. When is it ending? We do not know that as of yet. What we know so far is that the series will come to a close for sure since Shueisha, Shonen Jump, and Viz Media have officially confirmed the news.
The Chainsaw Man is yet to be adapted into a second season. So while manga will officially end soon, there is still hope for anime fans.
