For All Mankind’ Showrunner Shuts Down Alien Theory. In an interview during WonderCon 2026, as well as several other appearances, showrunner Ben Nedivi stated there was no chance of aliens appearing on For All Mankind.

Ben Nedivi says For All Mankind will stick to “science fact”

“We are proud to have a more realistic portrayal,” he explained. “Aliens are probably not in our wheelhouse.” The For All Mankind creator further went on to say that the production team was more focused on making sure their alternate reality series was rooted in science fact, as opposed to science fiction.

From the very start, the For All Mankind creators made efforts to keep the series as realistic as possible. The creators use technical consultants on a regular basis and collaborate with actual astronauts to ensure their spacecraft, equipment, and missions are all realistic—even as their timeline becomes more and more divorced from ours.

But over the course of five seasons, the series has inevitably become slightly futuristic in nature. Since each season skips a number of years, the For All Mankind world now exists at a technological level past ours. The most recent episode set in the year 2012 is nine years ahead of Season 4, which aired in 2023.

However, Nedivi assures us that this series focuses on humanity, not little green men.

“I think we are trying to maintain science fact as much as possible,” he said in his latest appearance.

One aspect does remain uncertain, though. In response to being questioned about modern UFOs and unidentified aerial phenomena, both Nedivi and co-showrunner Matt Wolpert jokingly gave a “no comment.

Fans immediately took this as a signal that there might actually be something in store on For All Mankind after all.

In particular, fans now theorize that microbial alien life forms might be discovered on the show since Season 5 features characters Kelly Baldwin and Aleida Rosales investigating signs of life in space.

Apple TV confirmed in March that Season 6 would be the final season of the show. Season 5 includes Mireille Enos, Costa Ronin, and Sean Kaufman among the new additions.
