FKA files lawsuit against ex-boyfriend Shia LaBeouf

FKA Twigs opened up about disturbing details surrounding the abuse faced by Shia LaBeouf in 2020. She alleged battery and assault, both physical and s—–. The actress also narrated her experience, which mentioned deeply disturbing details surrounding the events.

What followed was LaBeouf being dropped from several brands and movie endorsements. He was removed from Don’t Worry Darling and Netflix’s documentary Pieces of a Woman. Some reports suggested that Florence Pugh felt extremely uncomfortable due to the actor’s behaviour, hence Olivia Wilde chose to drop the actor from her project.

Twigs’ account of abuse and harassment also spoke of emotional distress. The actress then agreed to a settlement in 2025, but with recent reports, new details have emerged regarding the events. And while LABeouf previously denied these allegations, the actor later admitted to the accusations and apologized for his behaviour on Jon Bernthal’s podcast in 2022.

“I hurt that woman, and in the process of doing that, I hurt many other people, and many other people before that woman. I was a pleasure-seeking, selfish, self-centred, dishonest, inconsiderate, fearful human being.”

According to recent reports, FKA Twigs alleged that LaBeouf tried to silence her using an NDA, which would discourage her from talking about her experience and account of DV and SA. She opened up about this after LaBeouf stated that she violated the NDA agreement.

Twigs’ attorney made a statement as posted by USA Today, citing her motive behind doing so, “She files this action to right a wrong, and also on behalf of other women who are the victims of s—- and DV who do not have the resources to speak out and defend themselves from predators. In so doing, she seeks to ensure that survivors of s—- misconduct are not bullied or silenced like she was,” Rosengart wrote in the filing.

So far, there haven’t been any statements in response to Twigs’ lawsuit.
