Netflix releases trailer for Squid Game: The VIP Challenge

So far, Squid Game: The Challenge has had 2 seasons, but this time it’s different. Individuals from across the globe were cast in the first two seasons, but for the third season, we have celebrities. Netflix’s trailer for Squid Game: The VIP Challenge revealed the cast for the upcoming reality show.

The star cast features Mel B from the Spice Girls; Kristy Sarah, a social media content creator; Hannah Godwin from the reality TV show The Bachelor; Dylan Efron from yet another reality TV show, The Traitors; Kim Zolciak Biermann from Desperate Housewives; LJ ‘Viper’ Glanton from Squid Game: The Challenge Season 2; Ryan Serhant from Owning Manhattan; and lastly, NBA star Tristan Thompson.

As of yet, the reality TV show has eight contestants, all of whom are VIPs. In the trailer, the contestants are shown wearing ball-themed clothes with hand-held masquerade masks. This season’s casting blends reality TV stars along with sports personalities, content creators, and entertainers.

L.J. Viper Glanton, who was previously eliminated in Season 2, is set to make a comeback after a majority of fan votes. Not only that, the VIPs will be put to the test through various challenges and situations.

Their skillset, wit, and strategies will be tested throughout the game, as Netflix stated in the trailer. The reality TV show is loosely based on the dystopian South Korean Netflix show Squid Game. While the drama itself captures intense themes of survival, power play, and betrayal, the reality show simmers it down, as several X users pointed out.

As of now, no official release date, time, or filming location has been disclosed by Netflix. The previous seasons were shot in two separate locations, namely Cardington Studios (Bedford) and The Wharf Studios, both of which are in the United Kingdom.
