John Christian appeared on the crime drama series Better Call Saul, where he played the role of Ernesto. He recently revealed the reason why he shifted careers, saying, “It wasn’t the breakout I was hoping.” A few days ago, fans discovered that he was a delivery agent and driver at Amazon.
The actor previously worked on a movie with Bryan Cranston. The movie did not pay him mainly because the producers cited financial troubles. Love has mostly appeared in numerous movies in minor roles. His career started at the age of 13 when he was introduced to the American entertainment industry. He first appeared as a fan in the 2010 video Circle of Pain. The 2015 movie Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials gave him his first big break, even though it was a side role.
As of March 3, 2026, just days before the report, it was confirmed by Page Six and other outlets that he quit the job. He cited that the rural routes were “destroying” his body due to pre-existing conditions (scoliosis and Scheuermann’s disease).
Better Call Saul allowed him to showcase his versatility. His role as Ernesto ran for over 11 episodes, but eventually he faded from the limelight. The show stars Bob Odenkirk, Jonathan Banks, and Rhea Seehorn in major roles.
Come to think of it, this isn’t a first for many Hollywood actors. Whether they are television or movie actors, most artists struggle to make ends meet by the end of the day. Some even opt out of the acting industry entirely. Amanda Bynes, for example, took to the nail tech industry as her eventual career.
Jamie Walters, who played Ray Pruit in 90210, took to firefighting after having second thoughts about acting. He did thank his fans nonetheless after switching to a different career path.
