Actress Trinity Jo-Li Bliss has gained widespread attention for her role as Tuk in Avatar: The Way of Water. With her newfound fame, rumors are swirling around that she might just be part of the new X-Men reboot as Marvel is set to enter Phase 7. Recently, in an interview, she addressed the industry speculation about her playing the iconic X-Men character of Jubilee.
Jo-Li Bliss wants to “manifest” X-Men role
In a conversation with The Direct at the 2026 Saturn Awards, Bliss was asked about the rumors of her being one of the frontrunners to play Jubilee in Marvel’s new X-Men film. She replied that it would be cool to get cast as one of Marvel’s mutant superheroes, but she has not been approached for the part.
“Oh my gosh. When I saw them, I was like, ‘Oh, that would be really cool.’ Like, ‘What do you know that I don’t?’ But I mean, I love the X-Men side of things, so that would be really cool. But, I have not been cast as Jubilee,” the actress said.
Then the interviewer prodded her further by saying that sometimes fan speculation and industry chatter put an actor’s name in contention for such big franchise film roles, and that she might just get a call from Marvel Studios, to which she replied, “Maybe, manifest it.”
Jubilee is a fan-favorite mutant known for her firework-like energy blasts and her role as one of the younger X-Men. Jo-Li Bliss is 16 years old and definitely fits the age bracket to play the role.
Even though the actress denied her involvement in the X-Men reboot, Marvel is known for keeping casting tightly under wraps. Furthermore, the X-Men relaunch is still in early development, and therefore, it doesn’t completely shut the door for Bliss, as the studio still hasn’t officially announced the cast members for the new X-Men film.
Currently, Marvel Studios is busy wrapping up Phase 6 of the MCU, with Avengers: Doomsday scheduled to release in December this year and Secret Wars slated for a December release next year. Reportedly, the X-Men will play a central role in the aforementioned movies, and following the multiverse-wide chaos, the mutant superheroes will be at the forefront of the MCU’s next phase.
