We’re just a few days away from The Boys season finale. The series is all set to mark its closure, and it would be legendary. Antony Starr and Karl Urban truly vouch for the final season, and they’re quite confident. Here’s what the stars had to say about it.
Antony Starr and Karl Urban on The Boys Season 5
Antony Starr and Karl Urban spoke to Entertainment Tonight about The Boys’ Season 5. The reporter told both actors that she’s getting the chills noticing the actors together. Urban responded to this, and he may have subtly thrown in a spoiler or two:
“I mean, it’s a bit of a spoiler, but you know, let’s just say the show’s been hinting towards one thing, and you know we’re pretty confident that it delivers. You don’t want to miss it. I’m telling you. You don’t wanna miss this.”
The finale will mark the return of Billy Butcher. It will be a showdown between him and The Homelander as they engage in a ferocious battle. Fans have been eagerly waiting for this, and now Season 5 is almost here.
It would be interesting to see how the final battle would pan out. There have been reports of budget cuts related to Amazon, which the showrunner of The Boys previously hinted at. However, fans are hopeful that this might not affect the Season’s ending whatsoever.
Like previous seasons, The Boys has some gory action scenes. There’s Billy Butcher with his profanity, and honestly, this series is not for the faint-hearted. The series showcases some of the most downright disturbing scenes, which Antony Starr agrees might follow through in Season 5 as well.
You know what the show’s always had: chaos and carnage. The last season is no—It’s a little even, even more dialed up, so it’s gonna be great. I’m quietly confident that we stuck the landing, and um, yeah. He’s (Urban) more confident than I am. I just can’t wait for everyone to see it. – Antony Starr
Season 5 will release on April 8 and will be available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
