Chuck Norris was an action hero who set the blueprint for future generations of action stars. He passed away at the age of 86 on March 19, 2026. Now, prominent names from the Hollywood industry are pouring in with tributes for the veteran actor, and among them are leading action figures Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Stallone and Schwarzenegger remember Hollywood’s “b—–“

Norris has dazzled fans of action films with his impressive body of work for decades. He was the dominant action star of the 70s and 80s, who popularized “one-man army” memes and brought to the movies his martial arts techniques and a tough-guy persona. Safe to say, he set the benchmark for actors who even showed an inkling of wanting to be action icons.

Therefore, it should come as no surprise that Stallone and Schwarzenegger were also swept up in the Chuck Norris frenzy and were inspired by his daring action stunts. As the tragic news of Norris’ death became public knowledge, Stallone took to Instagram and wrote, “I had a great time working with Chuck. He was All American in every way. Great man, and my condolences to his wonderful family.” The two movie stars had worked in the action film “The Expendables 2,” directed by Stallone.

Meanwhile, Schwarzenegger also tipped his hat to the now-deceased actor on social media, calling him an “icon” whom he had the pleasure of working with in various professional capacities.

“An Icon. I am grateful that I was able to work with him in multiple ways over the years, from promoting fitness to sharing the screen together. He was a bad—, in real life and in Hollywood. His legend will be with us forever. My thoughts are with his family,” The Terminator star said.

Schwarzenegger and Norris have worked together in various fitness-related promotions, but appeared together for a film only once in The Expendables 2.

Chuck Norris’ influence in Hollywood, shaping the action genre for the countless actors to be inspired by, is undeniable, to say the least. Safe to say, it made a lot of young people, and even older ones in the 80s, practice martial arts moves in the privacy of their rooms. Which is your favorite Chuck Norris film?
