Amazon’s renowned anti-superhero drama The Boys will be back with its fifth and final season. It will be a bittersweet experience for fans, as they will get to see their favorite cast members in action one last time. Furthermore, stars Jack Quaid and Erin Moriarty have teased that the season finale will be an emotional rollercoaster.

Stakes are high in season finale, says Jack Quaid

‘The Boys’ series finale is right around the corner, with the final season premiering on Amazon Prime Video on April 8, 2026. The cast members are on a promotional run ahead of the season’s premiere, and Entertainment Tonight caught up with Quaid and Moriarty to learn about their thoughts on the epic conclusion.

“The stakes have never been higher. No character is safe. It’s the final season. God, it has so much weight,” Quaid said.

When asked if the final season is going to be a tear-jerker, the actor asked the fans to keep the tissues ready in bulk. “I don’t know. If you could go to Costco and buy in bulk or something like that. Just buy in bulk, you don’t want to run out,” he remarked.

Furthermore, Moriarty also weighed in on the final chapter of the season. “It’s mayhem. Bats— crazy. Gonna blow your minds in so many ways you don’t expect. Ways you do expect. And all of the above.”

The final season picks up from the conclusion of season 4, which shows Homelander gaining significant political and social influence, triggering Starlight to start a resistance movement against him. While the Boys are scattered and broken, Billy Butcher returns, planning to use a virus that could wipe out all the Supes.

The season will kick off with two episodes premiering on the same day, followed by weekly releases. As the Boys prepare to call it curtains, the finale is expected to deliver a high-stakes, emotional conclusion, with long-running conflicts coming to a decisive close.
