Zendaya spoke about the need for privacy in an interview with The Associated Press, saying, “There’s a balance between hiding, and then also just living your life and enjoying your life and protecting things that are special to yourself. And I think everyone kind of has to do that in some way.”
This is in light of recent events that led to many speculating on her possible marriage to Tom Holland. The pair met on the set of the 2017 movie Spider-Man: Homecoming, where they played the roles of MJ and Peter, respectively.
Soon after, they started dating, and they made it official in 2021. Zendaya has praised Holland for his acting, and recently, she even deemed his performance in Spider-Man the best Spidey/Peter Parker. She was promoting her movie, The Drama, while she appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live!

The internet was flooded with AI-generated images of both Zendaya’s and Tom Holland’s rumored wedding. The actress herself called these fake and also pointed to the need to keep things private, especially if one’s career pertains to social media.
“Whatever kind of job that you have, whatever kind of field that you’re in, or if you’re dealing with social media, we all, in some ways, have to learn how to keep things for ourselves and pour into ourselves just as much as we pour into the world or our work.”
