While the upcoming biopic Michael about the King of Pop has everyone hyped up, some have criticized it. Paris Jackson was one of them, but there’s a catch. She recently spoke up about the misconstrued nature of her communication with Colman Domingo.
Paris Jackson addresses miscommunication with Colman Domingo
In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Paris Jackson opened up about the recent biopic. She addressed the miscommunication with Colman Domingo, where she said, “I really appreciated the sentiment of it cause you know, there’s a lot of miscommunication, and things get twisted and all that. I responded to him probably a couple of months ago at this point. I just sent him a voice memo telling him I appreciate him as an artist, wishing him and my cousin success, joy, and happiness.”
Domingo wished Jackson would eventually enjoy the tribute when he spoke to the Wall Street Journal. This was after she refuted the claims of being involved in the production.
Earlier, Janet Jackson also criticized the movie and got into a heated argument with Jermaine Jackson. She wasn’t a part of the production team. She also had no involvement in the film; however, some sources said that both siblings had a heated argument shortly after the private screening of the biopic at the Jackson estate.
In 2025, Paris Jackson took to Instagram and expressed her honest opinion about the biopic. She pointed out inaccuracies present in the movie and how she addressed them. The singer said, “The narrative is being controlled, and there’s a lot of inaccuracy, and there’s a lot of just full-blown lies. At the end of the day, that doesn’t really fly with me. Go enjoy it. Do whatever. Leave me out of it.”
Some fans went so far as to criticize Jackson and deem her opinion implausible. When asked what story she would want the public to know about her father, Paris responded, “Love and Light.”
Michael is set to be released on April 26, 2026.
