Jisoo is getting ready for the release of her upcoming romantic K-drama, titled Boyfriend on Demand. Interestingly, there is already a behind-the-scenes fact about the upcoming series. Recently, the BLACKPINK member revealed that she wore 250 different outfits during the series’ shoot. It is said to be the most costumes she had worn in a single shoot.
Jisoo Reveals Massive Costume Count
In a recent discussion with Netflix, Jisoo mentioned that making Boyfriend on Demand needed an enormous number of outfits. She mentioned that they used around 250 outfits for her character’s scenes in the story. The singer-turned-actress confessed that she had never been given the chance to wear that many outfits during her previous acting experiences. This shows that the story features many fantasy scenes and settings.
In the story, Jisoo portrays Seo Mi-rae, a hardworking webtoon producer who seems to have no time for herself. Because of her busy schedule, she thinks that dating is not worth the time and effort required to make relationships work.
However, her life changes when she stumbles upon a virtual dating service that lets users experience dating with their partners in scenarios that feel extremely real.
In the virtual dating experience, Mi-rae gets to experience different fantasy scenes with different partners. She meets different charming partners, including a secret agent and a royal figure from the Joseon period.
However, the series also delves into Mi-rae’s actual life. At work, Mi-rae frequently finds herself at odds with fellow producer Park Kyeong-nam, played by actor Seo In-guk. Though the two do not initially see eye to eye, they eventually learn to see each other’s point of view.
In addition to Jisoo and Seo In-guk, the series also stars Yoo In-na and Ha Young. The series centers on a romantic comedy about Mi-rae’s life as she compares her fantasy relationships with her actual ones.
Boyfriend on Demand is now available to stream globally from March 6, 2026.
