Jamie Lee Curtis has recently revealed that the hit series “The Bear” is heading for its intended conclusion. Curtis said the series was always expected to conclude sooner than fans anticipated.

Jamie Lee Curtis addresses fan speculation about The Bear

In a recent interview with IndieWire, Curtis addressed questions raised by fans on social media about a post she shared announcing that she had finished filming the latest season of the series. The post stirred speculation among the fanbase, with many wondering whether the actress’s character would die in the show or if the series itself was coming to an end.

However, Curtis didn’t keep the curtains closed; she said nothing out of the ordinary was happening in the series. “It is the end of the show,” she said during the interview. “I am not saying anything new. We have always known this was the ending of the story, and we have always known this was the ending of the story within a certain number of seasons.”

The speculation about the series ending had been going on since late February 2026, when Curtis had posted a photo on Instagram announcing that she had finished filming the latest season of “The Bear” alongside her co-star Abby Elliott, who plays the role of Sugar in the series.

In Season 4, the additional story developments also gave hints about the upcoming season being the conclusion. This is because, during the season finale, Carmy Berzatto, played by Jeremy Allen White, lets his team know that he plans on stepping out of the restaurant and passing on his share to his team. This scene indicated that the drama that took place in the kitchen could be coming to an end.

Season 5 is set to air in June 2026, and it will mark a continuation of the yearly release pattern that has been followed by the show so far. There is also a possibility that planning for Seasons 4 and 5 took place because they were made largely back-to-back to suit the busy schedules of Jeremy Allen White and Ayo Edebiri.

The Bear has become one of the most decorated shows on television since it made its debut in 2022. It has won 21 Primetime Emmy Awards out of 49 nominations.
