Daredevil: Born Again is back with its second season, and it is set to premiere in March. The series will feature Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock, aka Daredevil, as a central character, but here’s the twist. A major MCU character is set to make his return in the series as well, but who is it exactly?
Daredevil: Born Again teases MCU character’s return
Daredevil: Born Again premiered in 2022 and has been a successful passion project from Marvel Studios. With the second season, the main cast will reprise their roles, but the series will feature the iconic character Iron Fist. The news was initially shared by Cryptic4kQual and then reposted by Cosmic Marvel on X.
Finn Jones, who previously played the role of Iron Fist in the Netflix series, will return, possibly in a cameo, as the reports suggest. Fans know that the series was eventually cancelled as a result of low ratings and viewership.
The poor reception was cited as another reason why the show was eventually cancelled and wasn’t renewed for a third season. The major creative differences between Netflix and Marvel led to the scrapping of the possibility of a future season.
In this case, however, Iron Fist’s representation and role can be better laid out, as most fans suggest. While some appreciated the idea greatly, others discredited it on X.
Regardless of that, Finn Jones is likely to reappear and play his iconic role of Danny Rand, also known as Iron Fist, in Daredevil: Born Again.
The series is centered around the life of Matt Murdock in Hell’s Kitchen. Murdock was blinded as a result of a childhood incident, though he gained superhuman abilities. His sensory abilities and perception are heightened as a result of the incident.
It is also a continuation of the original Daredevil series that premiered between 2015 and 2018.
Murdock uses his powers to take on the role of a vigilante to fight the criminal organizations plaguing the Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood of New York City. The season is slated for release on March 24th and will be available for streaming on Disney+.
