Madara Uchiha’s English voice actor reveals his ‘Dragon Ball Super’ desire

The famous voice actor Neil Kaplan, who is best known for his role in the English version of the famous anime series “Naruto,” wherein he portrayed the role of the legendary character named Madara Uchiha, has now revealed the role that he would love to play next in the voice acting field, which has already caught the attention of fans of the famous series “Dragon Ball Super.” 

The voice actor has now revealed his desire to play the role of the powerful villain named Moro in the “Dragon Ball Super: Galactic Patrol Prisoner Arc” if he gets the chance to play this role in the English version of the series. “Write them a letter and drop it in the mail… You’re the audience. You’re the consumer. You’re the ones that can help make this happen.”

According to the voice actor, fans of the series are the people who can bring this role to life, and the voice actor suggested that fans write to them if they want to see the voice actor play the role of the powerful villain in the series. This suggestion has already caught the attention of fans of the series on social media platforms, wherein many fans have now revealed that the voice actor would be perfect to play the role of the powerful villain named Moro due to his deep voice, which he honed while playing the role of Madara Uchiha in the “Naruto” series.

Apart from his work on Dragon Ball, Kaplan has been very busy making appearances at fan conventions. This May, Kaplan is scheduled to appear at Anime Riverside 2025, where he will meet fans and talk about his work. Kaplan is scheduled to appear at TFNation 2025 and TFcon Los Angeles 2026, where he will celebrate the 40th anniversary of Transformers: The Movie. Any fan of the Transformers series knows Kaplan’s work on Transformers: Robots in Disguise (2001), where he played Optimus Prime.

In 2025, Kaplan celebrated his appearance in a new Madara Uchiha (Susanoo) Funko Pop product, where his quote that he voiced appears. This only goes to show that Kaplan’s legacy on the character continues to grow. Based on his work on Voltron: Legendary Defender as Emperor Zarkon, StarCraft as Tychus Findlay, and Bleach as Genryūsai Yamamoto, it is not hard to imagine that Kaplan might be voicing Moro. Whether or not that is true remains to be seen, but one thing’s for sure: Kaplan is ready and listening.
