10 Young Sheldon Characters Who Should Have Crossed Over Into TBBT More
10. Eugene “Gene” R. Schwartz
Gene brought a unique kind of tension and mischief to the early season of Young Sheldon. Seeing him pop up in TBBT and cause a bit of chaos for adult Sheldon or the rest of the Cooper family would have been such a fun nod to his villainy. It’s the kind of unexpected crossover moment fans always talk about.
9. Mandy McAllister
Mandy plays such an important role in Georgie’s life, and bringing her into TBBT would have been a perfect full-circle moment. Watching her interact with adult Sheldon, and maybe even teasing Georgie about their future together, would have been exactly the kind of callback fans adore.
8. Dale Ballard
Dale’s relationship with Meemaw gave us so many fun, chaotic, and heartfelt moments. Seeing him appear in TBBT during later family gatherings would’ve shown us how their bond evolved and given us a few laughs at the Cooper family’s expense along the way.
7. Pastor Rob
Pastor Rob brought both conflict and surprising moments of mentorship into Sheldon’s life. It would have been fascinating to see how adult Sheldon reacted to him or how he interacted with the grown-up versions of Mary, Georgie, and the rest of the Cooper family. That dynamic alone would have delivered some unforgettable scenes.
6. Dr. John Sturgis
Dr. Sturgis had such an impact on young Sheldon’s intellectual growth, and his eccentric, lovable personality always made the family interactions memorable. A flashback appearance in TBBT, maybe during one of his lectures or at a Cooper family dinner, would have connected the dots between Sheldon’s childhood influences and his adult brilliance.
5. Billy Sparks
Billy was kind and just trying to be a regular kid, and for Sheldon, that was confusing enough to be hilarious. Seeing him in TBBT, even for a moment, would have been such a fun callback to the boy who accidentally taught Sheldon what childhood looked like for everyone else.
4. Tam Nguyen
Tam was Sheldon's closest friend in high school, someone who actually understood him on an intellectual level. Their friendship was a huge part of Sheldon’s development, and a flashback cameo or even an adult Sheldon story about Tam would have given us a better look at how important that bond truly was.
3. George Cooper Sr.
Young Sheldon gave us a completely different picture of George Sr., who is a loving, flawed, but deeply caring father. Many of us wished TBBT had shown more of that version instead of the limited, often negative references we originally got. Seeing him through adult Sheldon’s reflections would have brought so much heart to the main series.
2. Connie “Meemaw” Tucker
We hear so much about Meemaw in TBBT, but actually seeing her younger, feisty, no-nonsense personality on screen would have been a treat. Fans would have loved watching the sharp, sarcastic version of Meemaw from her earlier days, especially as a contrast to the sweet, fiercely protective grandmother adult Sheldon always talked about.
1. Missy Cooper
Missy is Sheldon's twin, and every time we see her, we are reminded how loyal, dependable, and grounded she is. Many of us wanted to see her reactions to adult Sheldon’s life in TBBT, especially her dynamic with her older brother. It would have added a dose of honesty, humor, and sibling reality we all love watching unfold.
