Hulu confirms release date for King of the Hill Season 15

Following a 98% Rotten Tomatoes score, King of the Hill Season 15 is officially coming to Hulu this July. See what’s next for the retired Hills and adult Bobby.

Hulu has announced July 20, 2026, as the premiere date of King of the Hill Season 15. This is the next installment in the revival of the long-running cartoon. All ten episodes will air simultaneously on that day, deviating from the common schedule where each episode drops one after another each week. It should be noted that the previous season brought 4.4 million global views within the first seven days and got a 98% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Continuation includes a time skip, new actors, and plot developments

As for the revived storyline, it puts Hank and Peggy Hill in Arlen, Texas, as well as back into retirement, having returned to their place of residence after leaving the country. Mike Judge will continue voicing Hank, while Kathy Najimy will play Peggy. Together, they try to maintain harmony on Rainey Street amid the new situation.

Another plotline concerns Bobby Hill. In this season, he is twenty-one years old and serves as a chef in Dallas while facing both pressures in business and personal matters. As Pamela Adlon voiced her character last time, she will probably be involved in this episode too.

There was also a teaser with Big Tex, who suggests that in the coming episodes, there will be more about the Texas State Fair. Apart from the main heroes, the other cast members remain the same, although one role has changed because of death. After Johnny Hardwick passed away in 2023, Toby Huss voices Dale Gribble.

At this point, there are other deceased voice actors whose characters are yet to be developed further. For example, in 2025, Jonathan Joss (John Redcorn) left us all. There were already some developments made for the character during the previous season, but it is still unclear what else will be done regarding it.

Original creators, namely Mike Judge and Greg Daniels, will remain executive producers together with showrunner Saladin K. Patterson. Besides, the show will continue to be produced by 20th Television Animation, which was responsible for it before.

King of the Hill received a two-season renewal on Hulu, which means that the following ones will be seasons 16 and 17 with 20 episodes total. In June 2026, Mike Judge, Greg Daniels, and Saladin K. Patterson will showcase several clips from the new season at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, where Mike Judge will be awarded an Honorary Cristal.
