The Met Gala had some of the most enchanting and stellar looks. From celebrities, be it actors and filmmakers, to designers, singers, and songwriters, everyone was all decked up. This is especially the case with Nicole Kidman and her daughter Sunday Rose, who stole the spotlight, and here’s what happened.
Nicole Kidman and Sunday Rose steal the spotlight at the Met Gala
Nicole Kidman was spotted with her daughter, Sunday Rose, at the Met Gala in a clip posted by The Hollywood Reporter. She is seen wearing a red sequinned custom Chanel dress by Matthieu Blazy.
The entire look was styled by Jason Bolden, and it provided an interesting contrast when paired with a lapis lazuli ring. Kidman’s dress had a feathered waist, and the same was done for the cuffs as well.
As for Sunday Rose, she looked chic and glam in a beautiful and elegant sugary pink Dior dress. It is flared in the upper half and more structured waist down, but here’s the interesting part.
Both Kidman and her daughter are seen donning feathers in their dresses, but the aura is completely different. While Kidman’s dress is reminiscent of a sequinned ball gown with a cabaret and disco flair, Sunday’s dress is more of an enchanting flair.
It’s dreamy, it’s chic, but most importantly, the duo shared an endearing moment in the Met Gala venue. Kidman also told the press that the event was hefty for her daughter, but she managed somehow.
“She’s been so calm through the whole thing. “She had to go to school tomorrow morning, by 8 a.m. Keeping it real.”
Kidman also shared her insights and motives for choosing red for this year’s Met Gala, saying, “I wanted something red because I wanted to embrace the way in which red has been used in art through the years,””I feel that it’s a strong symbol of love, for passionate love, for power and motherhood.”
As for her daughter, Sunday Rose, she went for the dress because it reminded her of a blooming flower. It is also her first Met as she told the press.
Not only that, Nicole Kidman was among the jury in the Met Gala alongside Anna Wintour, Venus Williams, and Beyoncé, where she completely nailed the theme of ‘Fashion is Art’.
