The critically acclaimed Invincible has just concluded its fourth season. The show boasts an illustrious voice cast, including Steven Yeun, J. K. Simmons, Sandra Oh, Seth Rogen, and Mark Hamill, among many others. In a recent interview, the show’s creator, Robert Kirkman, and showrunner Simon Racioppa stated that they will not stop their aggressive pursuit of Bryan Cranston to join the franchise.
The Invincible team will not stop approaching Bryan Cranston, says Kirkman
Invincible is one of the most popular series of recent years on Amazon Prime Video. In a recent interview with DiscussingFilm, Kirkman admitted that they still haven’t been able to convince Cranston to join the show. In earlier interviews, too, Kirkman revealed that he has offered Cranston a role every season, and the actor has turned them down each time.
However, the show’s creator stated that he will continue to approach Cranston persistently until he eventually says yes. “I would love to be able to announce now that he’s on the show in some capacity, but he’s not. We’re not going to stop offering him roles. He’s not going to win. He’s not going to beat us. We’ll get him,” he said.
“If you know him, give him a call for us and tell him we still want him on the show,” Racioppa added. Adding to the conversation, Kirkman further stated that he does not want to come off as “desperate,” but expressed hope that sooner or later he will be able to bring Cranston on board. “He can’t run forever,” the showrunner further said.
According to multiple reports, during the production of Invincible Season 4, the team also tried to entice both Bryan Cranston and Tom Cruise to join the project, but both reportedly declined.
Invincible is already confirmed for Season 5. It has been reported that new episodes are currently in post-production, and the animated series is expected to return sometime in 2027. It remains to be seen whether Cranston will eventually show up in future seasons if the team continues its efforts.
