TaleSphere Studios is coming up with a new teen-focused live-action anthology series called The Vault. It will serve as an ode to Stan Lee’s legacy and will reportedly draw from unused or lesser-known ideas left behind by the legendary Marvel co-creator.
The Vault will explore Stan Lee’s unpublished ideas beyond Marvel
The series will flesh out a varied array of story ideas left behind by Stan Lee that were never published. Each episode will tell a different story and will potentially cover a variety of genres, all germinating from Lee’s creative treasure trove.
As per Deadline, TaleSphere will appoint an advisory board of six teenage influencers as part of the development process, in an attempt to better understand the audience the creative work is being tailored toward.
“In honoring Stan Lee, we hope to encourage and entertain a new generation,” TaleSphere CEO Carla Woods said, adding, “Stan Lee’s storytelling has always been rooted in the idea that anyone can be a hero, no matter where they come from.”
The series is aimed at teens and young audiences and could potentially deal with coming-of-age themes, moral dilemmas, and identity crises. “With The Vault, we’re building a series that channels that spirit for a new generation—stories that are imaginative, emotionally grounded, and reflective of the world young audiences are navigating today.”
“It’s an opportunity to honor Stan’s legacy in the creation of something fresh and current,” she added.
Lee reportedly left behind a corpus of concepts and creative ideas, many of which were never developed into full-fledged projects. Now, TaleSphere Studios aims to reinterpret these ideas for a new generation through The Vault. However, it must be noted that this project will not be connected to the Marvel Cinematic Universe canon and instead traces Lee’s vision beyond Marvel.
There has been no confirmed platform or release date yet for the series, which means that the project is still in early development. TaleSphere Studios is a joint venture between Kartoon Studios and AETH Entertainment, with a focus on youth-driven content.
